چکیده
Orthopedic fixation devices have been employed in the treatment of spinal diseases. Special developed to decrease effect injuries and deformities used neurologic back pain patients. In this study, finite element spine model an adolescent idiopathic scoliotic patient was constructed. The titanium implant system polyetheretherketone (PEEK) were compared regarding their stress distributions. lumbar from L2 L5 vertebra obtained computed tomography scan data. three-dimensional consisted four vertebrae, three intervertebral discs, six facet joints, corresponding ligaments. Loading boundary conditions applied L2-L5 model. According subjected loads bending moments on model, distributions evaluated especially screw-rod systems both for PEEK-based systems. disc structures also analyzed effects adjacent segment disease, which has reported as a post-operative fusion surgeries. Ansys software simulation processes models without with different Comparative investigation between showed that distribution values decreased system. Moreover, lower total deformation equivalent recorded system, L3-L4 L4-L5 discs. Furthermore, allowed overall loading whole models. And it concluded considerably reduced load discs ligaments, appeared better option reduction sharing when

The Effect of Muscle Direction on the Predictions of Finite Element Model of Human Lumbar Spine
The normal physiological loads from muscles experienced by the spine are largely unknown due to a lack of data. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of varying muscle directions on the outcomes predicted from finite element models of human lumbar spine. A nonlinear finite element model of L3-L5 was employed. The force of the erector spinae muscle, the force of the rectus abdomini...

Finite element analysis of 3 posterior fixation techniques in the lumbar spine.
This study compared the biomechanics of 3 fixation techniques: bilateral pedicle screw (BPS) fixation, unilateral pedicle screw (UPS) fixation, and UPS supplemented with translaminar facet screw (UPS+TLFS) fixation. The study was conducted in an L3-L5 finite element model. Three different finite element models were created by adopting different fixation techniques after removal of the left L3-L...

OBJECTIVE The biomechanical properties of the Coflex™ (Paradigm Spine, NY, USA), a device designed to provide dynamic stabilization without lumbar fusion, have not been clearly defined. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy and biomechanical effect of Coflex™ using finite element model (FEM). METHODS A 3D geometric model of the L3-L5 was created by integrating computerized t...
متن کاملFinite Element Modeling of the Human Lumbar Spine
Finite element (FE) numerical simulation is an effective tool for analyzing phenomena that cannot be clarified by experimental methods, like most of the biomechanical processes, for example the age-related spinal degeneration processes. Moreover, numerical simulation techniques have the potential to reduce costs and to save time during the development of new effective spinal treatment methods o...
